Monday through Friday Sunflower Farm has a drop-off program for 2-1/2 - 5 year olds. Having your child come to the farm regularly, whether you choose one day of the week, three days or all five, allows them to get to know the seasons of the farm and animals better. This agricultural-based program is as much outdoor time as possible. It is a hands-on, experiential class which encourages children to access a deeper place within themselves. Kids will learn the value of being part of a team, problem solving and an ability to access their own creativity. While exploring nature, children are encouraged to lead, and at the same time cultivate trust, respect and the idea that we are greater together than we are individually.
Even on cold days we will bundle up, climb in the wagon and tour the farm, feed animals, build snowmen, collect eggs, climb the giant treehouse, catch toads, follow bugs, or play together at the SproutHouse. Outdoor activities as well as indoor activities such as art, music, games and stories are all part of this program.
