February SproutHouse Newsletter

We are so excited you all will be joining us for this Winter/Spring Session Feb 4, - May 24, 2019.

This month we will be learning about our Winter Season and how it affects all of us, especially our farm friends. We will observe the different properties of water as we watch water freeze and melt. We will review our SproutHouse guidelines: we take care of ourselves, each other, our farm friends and our earth. We also model and teach, reuse, recycle and reduce so please bring in one cleaned recycled item so we can create a special gift.

This month we will make our Winter Season Book , a Valentine’s Day card, Paint snowy pictures, and start our seedlings. We will also be learning how to care and feed our newest baby lamb, Patches. Our books this month are, “The Mitten”, “The Snowy Day”, “Owl Moon” and “The Tiny Seed”. We continue to use the Colorado Early Learning Guidelines to plan activities to promote preschool readiness

Next month in March, will be the beginning of our Spring Season and we will be in the garden more often. Please remember to dress your child for the weather and layers are always best. For our new families please bring in one picture of your child for his cubby and 2-3 pictures of your family for our Family Picture Album.

One more reminder if you have any administrative questions or concerns including absences please email Liz Napp or call 303-774-8001. If you have questions or concerns about your child or our curriculum please contact Nance.

Once again thank you all for you continued support and kindness. Our Sprouts are the best and I truly enjoy spending my time with all of them as we explore, imagine, play, create, and dream here on this magical, mystical farm.
